Award-winning jerk chicken; best of DFW — these are all titles that The Island Spot has proudly accumulated over the years. And while all of these awards and mentions have been nothing less than humbling, we are always grateful when the people’s vote drives our status; because without you, the community, The Island Spot would be just (well) another spot on the block.

It is our pleasure to announce that The Island Spot has been selected as a nominee by our dear friend Lady Jade of K104FM, for “Best Dine-In Restaurant.” The nomination was given to The Island Spot through her new community venture, the Local Love Awards Gala, which will be held on March 4, 2017 at a star-studded ceremony.

All nominations given by the Local Love Awards recognize remarkable individuals, small minority businesses and humanitarian organizations that are contributing to the Dallas community in an impactful way. We were selected as a small minority business that has inspired, improved and strengthened the North Texas neighborhoods through the culture and reputation of our restaurant establishment.
